Tackling poverty and poor health in Portsmouth

BBC Inside Out looks at why people living in deprived areas have worse health outcomes.

Health correspondent David Fenton investigates the problem in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

Low income families in the most deprived areas of the city have particular problems with obesity, liver disease, and diabetes. They also tend to have unhealthy eating habits and high rates of smoking.

These conditions are hitting the poorest areas in the city hardest, but what can be done to tackle the problem?
