Drug haul worth £55m in warehouse
Three men have been jailed for trying to flood north-east England with £55m worth of heroin and amphetamines.
The haul was found in hundreds of plastic bags stashed in a warehouse in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
Det Insp Paul Colling of the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit said it was the largest seizure of drugs he was aware of in the North East region.
