Boy, five, thanks Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance crew

A five-year-old boy who nearly died after being knocked over by a horse has thanked the air ambulance crew which saved his life.

Kye Sharrad, from Harrietsham near Maidstone in Kent, suffered potentially fatal swelling on his brain and needed emergency surgery.

His family said that without the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, he would not be here today.

BBC South East reporter Fiona Irving spoke to Kye, air ambulance doctor Steph Tilston and Kerry Sharrad, Kye's mother.
