East Midlands projects to tackle youth offending

Radical new ways to stop teenagers drifting into crime are being tried out in two parts of the East Midlands.

Four new music studio projects are being funded by the Youth Offending Service in Derby.

A knife crime workshop is also being held in Leicester in a bid to encourage young men to stop carrying weapons.

It is estimated 2,000 young people will be involved in the Leicestershire and Rutland sessions over the next few months.
