Saltash Talking statue splits opinion
A lifesize speaking statue of one of Saltash's most famous characters has split opinion in the Cornish town.
The model is of Ann Glanville, a mother of 14 children who used to run a ferry on the River Tamar in the 1800s and was considered to be one of the best rowers in the world.
The statue cost £10,000 and some people think the money could have been better spent.
But the town council said the money had come from a supermarket that had to pay for regeneration work as part of a planning deal.
