Mount Edgcumbe's Venus 'destroyed by vandals'

Vandals have destroyed a 200-year-old statue at a country park in south-east Cornwall.

Police are examining the statue of Venus, at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, in the hope of finding fingerprints.

Officers believe she was destroyed on Wednesday night.
