Philippines aid: Shipment loaded for typhoon victims

Generators, food and clothing destined to help the typhoon-hit Philippines was prepared for shipping by volunteers in Northamptonshire.

It also included tools and toys for children for play and learning.

The aid was organised by the Essex-based charity Hope and Aid Direct. Spokesman Chas Storer said the first shipment was due to arrive on the islands in January.
