Cars flooded after Batheaston river bursts bank

Overnight high winds and heavy rain caused the River Avon to burst its banks at Batheaston, near Bath.

The Environment Agency said more than 50 flood warnings are in force across the South West - meaning people should take immediate action to protect their property.

One woman who returned to collect her car was shocked to find it partially submerged.
