Carole Duggan: 'Struggle will continue peacefully'

An inquest jury has concluded by a majority of eight to two that Mark Duggan was lawfully killed by police.

Mr Duggan was shot dead by police in August 2011 in Tottenham, sparking riots across England.

Carole Duggan, Mr Duggan's aunt, has told BBC Radio 4's Today programme "the family are still in shock right now, we are in turmoil".

But he said that "the struggle [for justice] will go on peacefully… we will keep asking questions".

"No more demonstrations, no more violence," she added.

Ms Duggan also labelled the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) "incompetent".

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Thursday 9 January 2014.
