Reading University students brew own beer

Students from Reading University's Real Ale Society have carried on the town's brewing tradition by creating their own beer with a local micro-brewery.

The beer, called Extra Curricular, will be sold in two of the university's student bars and one Reading pub.

The first cask, 72 pints in total, sold out at the university's bar on its inaugural appearance on Friday.

Students worked with Sherfield Village Brewery in Hampshire to create the beer.
