Piers damaged as south coast battered by storms

Wild weather has caused concern for people living by the south coast and near swollen rivers.

Two piers have suffered structural damage and there has been considerable travel disruption.

The worst hit area has been around Weymouth where two severe flood warnings were in force - but many other areas have also had strong winds and stormy seas.
