Welney swans: Food floated out to hungry birds

Rising water levels have forced staff to resort to dry suits and a floating wheelbarrow to feed the thousands of migrating birds at a wetland centre.

The water has risen by about 3ft at Welney Wetland Centre on the Ouse washes in Cambridgeshire, the largest seasonally flooded wetland in the UK and the biggest swan roost in Western Europe.
