London Underground chief 'pleased' strike is suspended

London Underground's Chief Operating Officer has said he is "pleased" that commuters will not have to face another three-day strike this week.

Phil Hufton said that discussions had been "open and frank", and London Underground would now continue with a station by station review before any further proposals for the Tube are made.

However, Mr Hufton did suggest that while no strike would occur this week, further action could follow in the future.
