Anger at Salcombe hill home insurance refusal

A man who lives 250ft (76m) up a hill overlooking the seaside town of Salcombe in Devon says he is furious after insurers refused cover on his house - because of a risk of flooding.

Eric Brisley, who is fighting his case with Lloyds Bank, says it would be impossible for his home to flood.

The company says there is a blanket ban on home insurance cover in that postcode.
