Remembering Kent's coal mining heritage

Twenty five years after the closure of the last pit in Kent, former miners look back at the area's coal mining legacy,

For the miners, life at the colliery was a world full of toil and danger with the threat of accidents and injury.

In a BBC film former Kent miners talk about their memories of working underground including how they came up with a novel way of avoiding the heat by wearing women's briefs.
