Increase in use of compulsory water meters

Do you have a water meter in your home? The number of properties which do has risen above 10 million in England and Wales as companies in drought-prone areas oblige customers to have one installed.

By next spring, 50% of all homes will have a water meter because of compulsory water metering.

Many people end up paying less but some have seen their bills rise sharply.
