Is London the UK's capital of child malnutrition?

There are 600,000 children in London living below the poverty line, many of whom are not receiving a healthy diet.

Serious signs of malnutrition in children are on the increase, and medical experts believe poor diet due to poverty is the main driving factor.

London has been dubbed 'the food poverty capital of Britain' with as many as half of children in its poorest boroughs going hungry.

BBC Inside Out looks at how schools and charities are working to ensure young children are being given a better diet.

Reporter Marc Ashdown visited a school in Edmonton which has been tackling the problem with the help of the Magic Breakfast charity.

He also met paediatrician Dr Colin Mickie who told him he had seen an increase in the number of malnutrition-related hospital admissions in children under 16.
