Rare rhino's birth at Chester Zoo caught on film
The birth of an endangered black rhino has been captured on film by Chester Zoo.
The female calf landed safely on the floor of the enclosure and both mother and her new arrival are doing well.
Chester Zoo recorded 17-year-old Kitani giving birth Fara at about 08:15 GMT on Saturday.
Curator of mammals Tim Rowlands described the delivery as "textbook". The rhino house was closed "to give the pair some special time together".
