Sunbeam car driven by Sir Henry Segrave returns to Southport
Sir Henry Segrave set the world land speed record in 1926 when his Sunbeam racing car roared to 152 mph along a beach in Southport.
Ninety years on, the car will once again be driven down Ainsdale beach to mark the anniversary.
Sir Henry went on to become the first man to drive faster than 200 mph when he set a new record at Daytona USA.
In 1930 he died from his injuries when he set the water speed record on Windermere.
