Alton Towers Smiler crash CCTV released

The Health and Safety Executive has released CCTV footage of the Alton Towers Smiler ride crash.

It shows the moment the carriage - carrying 16 people - smashed into an empty car on the rollercoaster.

Operator Merlin Entertainments is being sentenced for the crash which left five seriously injured, including two women needing leg amputations.

It's been warned to expect a "very large fine" for health and safety breaches.
