Red, white, purple, black? Choosing a Remembrance Day poppy

The red poppy signifies a memorial to those who died in World War One.

It was adopted by the Royal British Legion in 1921.

While many wear the traditional red poppy ahead of Remembrance Day, some opt for a white, black or even a purple flower.
