Ayeeshia-Jayne Smith death: Council says sorry to family

The director of Derbyshire County Council's children's services has apologised to the family of a toddler who was murdered by her mother.

Jane Parfrement said she fully accepted the findings of a serious case review into the death of Ayeeshia-Jayne Smith which said social workers had missed signs of danger.
