Final Monarch planes leave their base at London Luton Airport

The final Monarch aeroplanes have left London Luton Airport after the company collapsed.

For 50 years, the airline was based in the Bedfordshire town and employed many local people.

Its demise has left more than 1,800 workers redundant.

A Luton Airport spokesman said the final plane left the airport earlier.
