Drug abuse play based on true story goes on tour
A play based on the true story of twins becoming addicted to heroin is going on tour.
Elizabeth Burton-Phillips, from Reading, Berkshire, wrote the book upon which the play is based after losing one of her sons to the drug while the other is in recovery.
The production, called Mum, Can You Lend Me Twenty Quid?, shows how young people are enticed into drugs and the difficulties of "kicking the habit".
It has been performed to inmates at Winchester Prison and to schoolchildren in Wokingham.
