Time-lapse video of new Thames bridge at Caversham
Time-lapse footage has been released showing the construction of a £5.9m bridge for pedestrians and cyclists across the River Thames.
Work started on the structure in October to give dedicated access for users between Caversham and Reading Station and the town centre.
The bridge spans 68m (223ft), weighs about 200 tonnes and is supported by 14 pairs of cables.
Reading Borough Council, which released the time-lapse footage, paid for it using £20.7m from a Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF).
Money from the fund was also used for a cycle hire scheme and a park and ride.
