Birmingham: Counting the cost of economic recovery

A new report, external has named Birmingham as one of three major cities showing signs of economic recovery.

Research by the Centre for Cities, external thinktank showed particularly strong growth in the city centre.

But it also warned that the gulf between London and the rest of the country is widening as the economy strengthened.
