Birmingham volunteer, 92, earns national award
A great-grandmother from Birmingham has been given a national award for volunteers who give their time to help others.
Mary Harvey, 92, of Perry Common, has won a UK Points of Light award, which has come from Prime Minister David Cameron.
The honour has been developed in partnership with the Points of Light programme in the US, which was established by former US President George W Bush and has recognised more than 5,000 people.
Her activities include leading a Duckling Watch, which was set up to protect water birds, their nests and eggs.
