Knife bin in memory of bus stab victim Christina Edkins

The parents of Christina Edkins, the teenage schoolgirl stabbed to death on a bus in Birmingham last year, have unveiled a new knife surrender bin.

The bin, placed at the back of the supermarket where her mother works, is in Edgbaston, close to where 16-year-old Christina was killed.

She was fatally stabbed in March 2013 as she travelled to school by bus.

The knife bin is painted purple, Christina's favourite colour.
