Oakwood prison 'consistently short-staffed'
The UK's largest privately-run prison, HMP Oakwood, has "always been short-staffed", a former prison officers has said.
Joseph Garratt, who worked at the jail until February this year, explained that it was considered normal for two officers to be responsible for 60 inmates.
Oakwood prison was judged to be "of concern" in the National Offender Management Service's 2013/14 annual ratings.
