Birmingham pub bombings: Call for new memorial

Fresh calls have been made for another memorial to remember victims of the Birmingham pub bombings.

There is already a monument off St Philip's Place in the city.

But the University of Birmingham and victims' families are discussing plans for a more prominent tribute - possibly in New Street near to where one of the pubs used to be.

Twenty-one people died and 182 were injured in the IRA attacks on The Mulberry Bush and The Tavern in The Town on November 21, 1974.
