Bristol commute experiment tests transport times
Three high-profile men have turned their Bristol commute into an experiment to test whether a car, a bus or a bicycle offered the quickest journey into the city centre.
Bristol Mayor George Ferguson, Ian Boulton, the chairman of South Gloucestershire Council, and BBC Radio Bristol presenter John Darvall all took part in the challenge which began at 07:30 GMT.
According to the city council, traffic congestion costs the Greater Bristol economy £350m a year and pollution levels currently exceed European limits.
