Bristol Temple Meads railway station revamp plans revealed

Ahead of a major redevelopment of Bristol Temple Meads railway station, the BBC has been given exclusive access to parts of the building that have never been filmed before.

Network Rail has secured £15m to carry out maintenance of the roof and install new lighting and cables to open up underground areas, which were used for a variety of jobs including housing racks of wine and as air-raid shelters.

Some of the plans are as yet unfunded, while others, including connecting the station to the city's rapid bus transit network, are on track to be completed in the next couple of years.
