West GPs claim private health care firm wastes NHS money

A group of GPs in the West Country says NHS money is being wasted because of outsourcing to a private healthcare firm.

They have written an open letter claiming Care UK is being paid millions of pounds for work not taken up.

The company denies cherry-picking easy cases and leaving the NHS to pick up the rest.
