Bristol runner Ben Smith's 77 marathons down, 324 to go

A man who has run 77 marathons in 77 days has told BBC Points West: "I'm not superhuman, I'm just a normal bloke."

Ben Smith, 33, from Bristol, aims to complete 401 UK marathons in 401 days to raise money for Stonewall and Kidscape.

Speaking at his 77th marathon in Stroud, Gloucestershire, Mr Smith said: "They are all just blending into one now: Another morning, another marathon."

But he said he ached and it took him a while to get going: "I have such a passion for what I'm doing, I get to come to incredible places, meet incredible people and all that pain goes away."
