Ducklings rescued from open air swimming pool in Portishead
A family of newly hatched ducklings has been rescued from an open air swimming pool.
Staff at the Portishead Open Air Pool arrived on Saturday morning to discover eggs laid nearby had hatched and the mother duck was giving her offspring their first swimming lesson in the pool.
Lifeguards and swimmers managed to coax the the birds out of the water, through a fire escape and shepherd them to safety in a nearby lake.
