Closure of prison's mother and baby unit 'devastating'

Naomi, from Clevedon in north Somerset, spent six months on the mother and baby unit at HMP Eastwood Park a few years ago and said she was "devastated" to hear of its continuing closure.

"These women need their babies, they are human beings," she said.

"If you take a baby off a mother, she will probably come out of prison and keep committing crimes."
