'My son and husband died in road crashes'

A woman who lost her husband and son in separate motorcycle accidents has set up a foundation to help children affected by road crashes.

Louise Smyth lost her 25-year-old son Mathew, who was due to be a father, when a van knocked him off his bike in Cambridgeshire in August.

Mathew's father Darren died in 2000 at the age of 31 when he was also involved in a crash.

Ms Smyth said the two events meant "the main jigsaw puzzle part" was missing from their family.
