RNLI rescues girl from rip current at Chapel Porth

Lifeguards have released footage of a young girl being rescued to highlight the dangers of rip currents.

The youngster got into difficulty at Chapel Porth near St Agnes in Cornwall.

Nine people have been rescued off the beach in recent days, the RNLI said.

Storms have created offshore sandbanks which allow strong rip currents to form, the charity said and swimmers need to be aware.
