Warwickshire couple get delayed HS2 compensation

The Department for Transport (DfT) has apologised to a couple who were meant to be paid compensation by HS2 in April.

Karl and Dawn Dalders from Gilson, Warwickshire, were told they would be paid because the proposed high-speed train line will pass near their home.

The couple have now received ÂŁ500,000 for their home, plus ÂŁ47,000 compensation, under the Statutory Blight scheme.

Joan Cummins spoke to Mr Dalders.
