Thousands of ice figures in Birmingham melt
More than 5,000 ice figurines have been on display in Birmingham in memory of those who died in World War One.
The figures were lined up in Chamberlain Square, on Saturday and left to melt.
Brazilian sculptor Nele Azevedo and 20 volunteers made the sculptures in the past fortnight.
They were delivered in large cabinet freezers and then put in place with help from members of the public.
BBC Midlands Today filmed them gradually melting away.
