A rescue dog with a heart problem is set for a fitting gift - Valentine's Day surgery thanks to the public's £3,000 donation.

Terrier-cross Molly took months to recover from a skin condition after being neglected by her previous owner.

Vets then discovered she had a heart blockage that could shorten her life.

The RSPCA's Coventry branch launched an appeal to pay for a pacemaker operation, with the public smashing a £2,500 target.
