The water vole's Warwickshire comeback
A grant of more than £60k has been given to Warwickshire Wildlife Trust to help protect the county's water voles.
The mammal is one of the UK's most endangered species, its numbers dropping by more than 90% over 30 years.
The decline is blamed on a loss of its natural habitat and the species' main predator, the American mink.
The money, from the Heritage Lottery Fund, will help train people in north Warwickshire to conserve the river banks where the vole lives.
