Hundreds begin charity fell challenge in Cumbria
About 400 people braved the pouring rain in Cumbria to set off on a fundraising hike across some of the county's fells.
The course takes the walkers from Patterdale, in the Lake District National Park, across two routes one with five peaks another with 10.
The Cumbria Challenge is organised by Walking With The Wounded which helps retrain soldiers injured in action.
Captain Ibrar Ali from the Yorkshire Regiment and Major Kate Philp from the Royal Artillery were both injured in duty and are using the challenge to train for an expedition to the South Pole.
