'Luke Littler effect': Darts star inspiring young people

There's been a big rise in the number of young people wanting to play darts after 16-year-old Luke Littler's World Championship heroics.

Darts Academy North East in Blyth runs a weekly class for younger players and has seen a surge in interest since the start of the year as the sport gains popularity.

"This is probably the Luke Littler effect," said Simon Tate at Darts Academy North East.

"Not everyone can play football, not everyone's a great swimmer, but I think everyone of all ages and all abilities can throw darts."
