Lawrence of Arabia story part of Derbyshire author's book

An author from Derbyshire says she is proud to be able to reveal her RAF father's friendship with an older colleague, who turned out to be Lawrence of Arabia.

Jean Heaney said her 19-year-old father Geoffrey Buxton had joined the RAF in 1922, and spent several months as a photographic trainee, alongside a rather mysterious 33-year-old man called John Hume Ross.

She spoke to East Midlands Today's James Roberson about the pair and the time they spent together at an RAF depot in Uxbridge.
