Derbyshire looks forward to summer of cycling

A new velodrome, the Tour de France and a cycling festival are all coming to Derbyshire this summer.

James Berresford, chief executive of Visit England, Jim Dixon from the Peak District National Park and David James, chief executive of Visit Peak District and Derbyshire, said the benefits could be enormous.

Anthony Kappes, from Chapel en le Frith in Derbyshire, a partially sighted Paralympic cycling triple gold medallist said cycling is more more popular now than ever.
