An £800,000 bereavement centre has opened to provide counselling space in Derbyshire.

The Treetops Hospice was founded 30 years ago by Cally Cheetham to provide respite and palliative care.

She returned from France to open the building, named in her honour, which will house the bereavement service in Risley, near Derby.
