Derbyshire's Michael Wallage enters British beard awards

A moustachioed man from Derbyshire is hoping to be a cut above the rest in the annual British beard championships this weekend.

Michael Wallage, from Ripley, spends hours every day training his whiskers into weird and wonderful shapes and has scooped many awards for his efforts.

His partner Catherine James said the variety of facial hair at the awards is astonishing.
