Australia backpacker stabbing: Family tribute to Mia Ayliffe-Chung
The family of a British backpacker stabbed to death in Australia have paid tribute to a "kind and funny" young woman.
Mia Ayliffe-Chung, 20, from Derbyshire, was attacked at Shelley's Backpackers accommodation in the Home Hill area of Queensland at about 23:15 local time on Tuesday.
A statement, on behalf of Mia's mother Rosie Ayliffe, was read out by her partner Stewart Cormack.
