Poldark 'profited from savage mining conditions'

TV presenter Chris Packham says mine owners like Ross Poldark profited from savage conditions of mining at the time of the Poldark stories.

Packham visited the recreated Poldark Mine in Cornwall to find the truth about conditions for miners.

And he was shocked by the long days and short life expectancy of miners.
